Tab Trade - What Traders Should Know

TabTrade — What It Is

TabTrade went live in Q1 2026. CFD broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

His background matters. It means the founder is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than someone with no brokerage experience.

TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres institutional desks use. The typical new launch focuses on ads and sign-up promos. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a broker that launched in March 2026, that range is not narrow.

What You Trade On

You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Many pick one platform. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader before, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. More responsive charts. Native automated trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural once they try it.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but requires the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is apparently on the roadmap. That will make the platform set when it lands.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. $0 to start. Good for anyone who does not want to think about commission.

Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: spread plus $7 per lot round-turn. On majors, the actual interbank spread is frequently under 0.2 pips. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. TabTrade does not.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not relevant to typical accounts. Ignore this one unless you run serious volume.

Execution Speed

This is where TabTrade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. These are not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.

Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. What matters is the setup is serious. That is something about priorities.

Combine that infrastructure with raw spreads at $3.50 per side and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.

The FSRA Question

Here is the part that matters. Tab Trade is regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a problem for you, look elsewhere. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure costs real money. Fly-by-night platforms do not invest in proper execution infrastructure. This does not replace tier-1 regulation. It should be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you trade regulatory safety. In exchange: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether that makes sense comes down to your priorities.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade has a welcome bonus of up to two thousand dollars. Usual deposit match. You deposit, they add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before the bonus becomes withdrawable. Review the fine print before funding.

Everything in one place, covering regulation, withdrawals, pricing, and the tab trade reviews bonus terms, is at Trade The Day.
